Brave Browser: open source program

Posted on 2020-02-122020-11-17

Platforms: Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android

Brave is an open source browser that prioritizes user privacy and blocks ads and trackers by default.

From a security point of view, Brave supports end-to-end data encryption, an integrated VPN/TOR client and decentralized applications, enabling the handling of torrents and magnets.

It also pays users to view ads with Basic Attention Token native tokens. For this purpose, a BAT-enabled cryptocoupler is integrated in the browser.

The browser is very fast and easy to use because it is based on the open source Chromium browser. It still lags behind the big players when it comes to supporting extensions, but given its rapid development, we can expect that this will change very soon.
